Eligibility Criteria for Admission
The following criteria apply to Grades 9 to 12 under the NWAC American High School Program. Age and supporting-document requirements are considered as on 1 April of the application year.
Grade 9
- Age: 12 to 18 years.
- Grade 8 mark sheet from a recognised school or board.
Grade 10
- Age: 13 to 19 years.
- Grade 9 mark sheet from a recognised school or board.
Grade 11
- Age: 14 to 20 years.
- Grade 10 mark sheet and passing certificate from a valid education board.
- Students from foreign boards must provide AIU equivalency; where grades are used, equivalent percentage evidence is also required.
Grade 12
- Age: 15 to 21 years.
- Grade 10 mark sheet and passing certificate, plus the Grade 11 mark sheet.
- Foreign-board applicants must provide AIU equivalency and equivalent-percentage evidence where applicable.
Additional Documents Required
- School Leaving Certificate.
- Character Certificate.
- Age proof, such as a Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Address proof, such as Aadhaar Card or Passport.
- Four passport-size photographs, signed on the reverse.
Indian education boards should be valid/recognised boards, including boards associated with COBSE. Foreign-board qualifications may require recognition/equivalency through the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
All submitted documents are subject to verification before admission is confirmed. Documents should be properly self-attested and, where required, counter-attested/notarised or verified by the school authorities. Applications that do not meet the prescribed criteria may be rejected, and exceptional cases may be evaluated individually by the competent NWAC authority.
